ch-institute.orgTo: janiceintheshade at msn.comHello Paul, =

Full disclosure here, I haven't had time to read the full report, but it's =
very intriguing. =

However I do want to share with the group about an amazing Freshman from No=
rthwood High School in Irvine, CA. He started a group and website called "=
Wonder Writers" and hosts youth led writing contests to help young writers =
publish their work. The recent themes were about Bravery (K-6) and Chioces=
 (7-12)

The winning essays and poems are published in a beautiful book, which paren=
ts can buy and proceeds are donated to charity. We are currently partnered=
together on a Earth Day themed contest.

He's inspiring many to write and submit their thoughts. Young people today=
are under tremendous pressure and writing can be a powerful vehicle for ex=
pression and understanding.

Great work from our youth, one in particular here, Govil Gopta. http://www=
.wonderwriters.com

Thanks,
Julie

I wonder what the implications for youth development are. =

Wow, what a great article, Paul. I write and illustrate children's books a=
nd I also make presentations at high school for young writers. Teen lives =
are changing with all of this technology. Even I don't write as much as th=
ey do! LOL! However, I think you are right about what it is doing to the l=
iterary, and social development of our day. Kudos!Janice BrownLicensed Rea=
