Ditto to Joyce's question. I know I've heard of it (thanks to Marilyn) but
I need a refresher.

Thanks,

Barb

Is it possible to get a copy of the Strengths Interview? We are interested
in using it in our school-based CARE Team work. Thanks so much. Joyce

Hello Nancy,

As a school counselor, I see the Developmental Assets as a goal-setting
tool. Clients refer to a concrete list for celebrating strengths, as well
as setting specific and doable goals. Hat tip to Marilyn Peplau for
introducing me to the "Strengths Interview."

I'll be interested to read the rest of the data you gather related to this
subject. Thanks for posing the question!

Regards

Greetings, asset builders -

I have received a number of calls this month asking how people are using the
Developmental Assets in Mental Health settings. I have a few stories I've
gathered over the years, but need to revisit this topic. If you are a
mental health provider making use of the asset framework in your practice,
or you know of someone who is, I would like to learn more. How does a
strength-based approach contribute to your work? How, if at all, has it
changed your interactions with clients? What impact do you see in clients'
lives? What impact has it had on how you think about your work? Thanks in
advance for sharing your on-the-ground wisdom. Feel free to write to the
listserv, or to contact me directly. I'll summarize what I learn for the
listserv.
