Hello Nancy,
As a school counselor, I see the Developmental Assets as a goal-setting too=
l. Clients refer to a concrete list for celebrating strengths, as well as =
setting specific and doable goals. Hat tip to Marilyn Peplau for introduci=
ng me to the "Strengths Interview."
I'll be interested to read the rest of the data you gather related to this =
subject. Thanks for posing the question!
Regards

Greetings, asset builders -
I have received a number of calls this month asking how people are using th=
e Developmental Assets in Mental Health settings. I have a few stories I've=
gathered over the years, but need to revisit this topic. If you are a men=
tal health provider making use of the asset framework in your practice, or =
you know of someone who is, I would like to learn more. How does a strength=
-based approach contribute to your work? How, if at all, has it changed you=
r interactions with clients? What impact do you see in clients' lives? What=
impact has it had on how you think about your work? Thanks in advance for =
sharing your on-the-ground wisdom. Feel free to write to the listserv, or t=
o contact me directly. I'll summarize what I learn for the listserv.
