HCHY List: HC-HY List: Looking for Ideas for Search Institute's New Mini-Poster on Empowerment

Dear Colleagues,

At Search Institute Press, we're assembling a "best of the best" list of 50
ways adults can empower youth and nurture their leadership skills. Tips will
be cast in a young person's voice (as if spoken directly to an adult) and
printed on a mini-poster that can be posted in a variety of places to
capture adult attention.

Do you have favorite, time-tested suggestions you'd be willing to share?
Veering away from the philosophical, we are looking for successful "do it"
actions such as the following:

   - Recruit me to teach a class.
   - Encourage me to save money toward an important goal.
   - Let me oversee your Web site.
   - Make me the coach, not just an athlete
