Hi Everyone,

 =

I have been receiving the HSHY info on a regular basis for quite some time.=
I am a PhD candidate in the midst of completing my dissertation and with m=
y research interest is in at risk youth and the use of horses as an interve=
ntion strategy utilizing a strengths based perspective or developmental ass=
ets. My question to the list serve is if anyone knows if this type of prog=
ramming is going on such as part of a ymca program, etc. I have contacted =
the search institute and they suggested that I pose this question to the gr=
oup.

 =

Thank you in advance for your response.

P.S. I live in the greater Phoenix area) but that does not hinder the demog=
raphics of my research- it can be wherever.

This fact sheet from Child Trends, based on findings from the National Surv=
ey of Children's Health, shows that children benefit from positive connecti=
ons to parents, peers, the community and other societal institutions, and t=
hat neighborhood connectedness is related to being connected in other ways,=
 as well.
