*A newly inaugurated "Spiritual Development" track at the November 2007 =

Healthy Communities . Healthy Youth conference attracted hundreds of =

participants, both youth and adults. Session topics included how parents =

can nurture their children's spiritual development, modern rites of =

passage, young people's search for meaning, and current research updates.

*First Findings from Global Youth Focus Groups*
Here are the preliminary findings from an analysis of 27 focus groups =

conducted with 171 diverse young people ages 12-19, in 13 countries, for =

the purpose of exploring their experiences of spirituality and spiritual =

development. Emerging themes are presented with extensive quotes from =

the youth participants in an attempt to honor their voices.
